Max Yiming Liu
Director
Max Yiming Liu is one of the founders of AJS International Engineering Consulting Limited. Max has been in the consulting engineering practices since the Year 2004, he has worked for Arup and Holmes Consulting Group for more than 10 years focusing on highrise commercial buildings, and then moved to residential sector since the Year 2015, he has vast engineering experience from highrise office buildings, apartment, hotels to light commercial buildings, Terrance Houses to standalone residential houses. Max is Chartered Structural Engineer both in New Zealand and China. He is now the Managing Director of the company.
Outside work, Max enjoys the time with his family, swimming and hiking.
Leila Cui
Structural Engineer
Leila, chartered structural engineer in China, completed Bachelor’s degree in 2003 and has been involved in residential and commercial buildings of reinforced concrete in China until the year 2018, then relocated to NZ and achieved her Master’s degree of Engineering at the University of Canterbury in 2020 and joined the company in the same year.
In AJS Engineering, Leila’s experience covers timber design from standalone houses and Terrance houses to three-storey residential buildings and also specilized in aluminum structural design. She is enthusiastic and passionate about structural engineering.
Outside work, she enjoys jogging, reading and spending time with family.
Jinhu Yang
Structural Engineer
Jinhu is an energetic young engineer always with passion of thinking. He completed Bachelor of Engineering in 2006, and then worked as a bridge engineer in China for 11 years, and then in the year 2019, he obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of Auckland. he had been a structural engineer since then and joined the company Jan 2022.
Jinghu’s work in the company covers mainly residential buildings including new built and renovations works.
Besides work, Jinhu likes reading, history, and travelling.
Yufei Cao
BIM Manager
Yufei Cao is a structural engineer with more than 8 years experience, he was graduated in 2010 with his bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, focusing on BIM design using Revit.
Lily Yang
Office Admin
Lily Yang has a background of Accountant/Admin in medium size companies in NZ and China. She is managing the accounting and administration side of the business.
